Veronica De Salvo

Research Fellow

Graduated in Industrial Design at the University of Palermo with a thesis project aimed at redeveloping the social and urban context of Librino (Catania), in 2014 she earned the Master in Social Design at Design Academy Eindhoven. In 2018 she obtained the title of PhD in Environment, Design and Innovation at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” with the research project entitled “Design for the multi-ethnic city”, focused on understanding the social and political phenomenon of international migration flows and investigating the themes and tools developed by design for policy. In 2019 she gained a fellowship for postdoctoral research within the EU research project “OD&M Open design & manufacturing” Erasmus + Programme” at the University of Florence (Department of Architecture). She currently works as Research Fellow at the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano, mainly collaborating in the development of the REFLOW research project, funded by the European Community (Horizon 2020).
Since 2018 she is part of the editorial staff (Naples) of the quarterly magazine DIID | industrial design – industrial design . Since 2014 she is co-founder and member of the Fictional Collective, made up of 24 designers graduated at Design Academy Eindhoven.
