Strips. Parametric system for the democratization of DIY customizable boats.

In the world of pleasure boats the theme of customization and craftsmanship have always been top priority issues, but are them goals that can be pursued by everyone? The goal of the project presented by Giorgio is the democratization of the boat from all points of view, starting from the design phase, passing through production to the end of the product life. By exploiting the potential of parametric modeling, the user can, in a mediated manner, manipulate the project without necessarily having its own skills in nautical design practice. To achieve this goal, it’s not possible to refer to industrial production technologies but to the potential of digital, so that you’ll be able to accommodate all the needs of the user and delegate production. The democratization that we are talking about can not certainly stop at the production stage of the product but it must necessarily involve the next stages, facilitating its maintenance, transportation, storage and a proper disposal.
