Andrea Somenzi

Industrial Designer, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Design and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in December 2025.
His thesis was developed at Polifactory within the Talents in Residence program, titled: “Silo – Seed Initiatives Locally Open. Open design & hardware practices within seed systems.”

His research focuses on open-source design applied to both interconnected local systems and food systems, guided by the principles of shared knowledge and open innovation.He is currently involved in research activities at Polifactory and the Circular Food System Lab.
