The Annual Report “(Eco)Sistema Design Milano” was presented today at the Piccolo Teatro Melato in Milan. The Report is the result of the second year of research commissioned by Salone del Mobile.Milano to the Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano.
As in 2024, the research provides an updated analysis of this international event and of the Milan Design Week, supported by original analyses and data on its impact. The Report also offers a comprehensive picture of the Milan Design System’s economic and cultural dimensions, recognizing its role as an intangible infrastructure for Milan as international design capital.
The project involved a research team from the Department of Design, spanning several research groups and composed of Prof. Stefano Maffei and Prof. Francesco Zurlo (as Principal Investigators), Prof. Massimo Bianchini, and researchers Francesco Leoni and Filippo Parolini.
