Circular Sofa Platform, a PNRR-funded research project developed with the Polytechnic University of Turin, the University of Florence and the University of Bologna, dedicated to exploring new circularity models in the upholstered furniture sector, concludes.
The project investigated materials, components and production systems with the aim of defining a design paradigm capable of extending the life cycle of products and reducing their environmental impact. Structured as a multi-stage research path, Circular Sofa Platform combined theoretical investigation and applied experimentation through a series of Proofs of Concept, culminating in the development of an integrative prototype that synthesizes the results of the research path.
