Giorgio Colombo

Full professor of ‘Industrial Engineering Design and Methods’ at the Department of Mechanics. He teaches technical representation methods, physically-based modelling and simulation, product development, fundamentals of applied mechanics and virtual product modelling in the Mechanical Engineering, Design & Engineering, Management Engineering and Fashion Design courses.

His research interests include parametric CAD systems, automatic design, computer simulation techniques, computer graphics and virtual reality, and robotics. He has participated in European and national research projects on the application of virtual reality and haptic systems to product ergonomic validation, product customisation, and innovative virtual prototyping methods.
