Makers’ Inquiry Italia is an exploratory research that has attempted to describe the emerging phenomenon of making and self-production in Italy from different points of view. It is a project promoted and coordinated by the Department of Design of the Politecnico di Milano together with Fondazione Make in Italy and Associazione Make in Italy, with the endorsement of DESIS, an international network on Design, Social Innovation and Sustainability.

The first edition of Makers’ Inquiry was presented during Maker Faire Rome in 2013 and then carried out during 2014, while the results were published and presented in 2015.
