“Alternative Mapping” by LAND at MIND

Last week Polifactory participated to an “Alternative Mapping” developed by LAND, as part of the support plan of T-Factor. During the event, the participants — guided by landscape architects — journeyed into MIND Milano Innovation District by cycling or walking through its peripheral areas,  discovering how MIND is connected to the surrounding municipalities.

The event was meant to be a bottom-up mapping of MIND open spaces and its access routes, using walking and cyclying as a participatory method. This approach enabled participating stakeholders to know each other and share their experience about the routes.

The aim was to build awareness about the potential of the area surrounding MIND and to engage with local communities to consequently activating preferential access routes, but also imagining public functions and spaces within the site.
