Erin McAuliffe

Civic Designer
PhD Student (staff)

A Ph.D. candidate in Design (36° cycle), Erin is interested in the mainstreaming of design in policy making and implementation, and understanding the ‘policy craft’ capabilities that public administrations need to enact these new ways of making and doing policy.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Erin worked as a civil servant, and as design consultant to governments in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore; humanitarian organisations; and a European-funded climate programme. Erin holds a Master of Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Flinders University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Queeensland.

In the Department of Design, Erin is also a member of the research unit Design Policy Lab.
