Full Professor of ‘Design and Methods of Industrial Engineering’ at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He teaches methods of technical representation, physically-based modelling and simulation, product development, fundamentals of applied mechanics and virtual product modelling in the Mechanical Engineering, Design&Engineering, Management Engineering and Fashion Design courses of study.
His research interests include parametric CAD systems, automatic design, computer simulation techniques, computer graphics and virtual reality, robotics. He has participated in European and national research projects on the application of virtual reality and haptic systems to product ergonomic validation; on product customisation and on innovative ways of virtual prototyping.
